Last year, Nene played 16 games and Denver won 50 -- as an 8th seed. They drew the Lakers (with Bynum) and got bumped -- just like the Spurs. This year, Nene's healthy and the Nuggets are longer and tougher on defense with Anderson and Balkman. AI's not a true point guard, but it's not entirely his fault Denver couldn't get over the hump. Portland is about to find out the perils of having Steve Blake on your roster. The Nuggets are an imperfect bunch -- and the same goes for a Pistons team that can't seem to do much once they get to the Conference Finals. They should be so lucky this season. Iverson’s not dead.
