The Lakers have just ending their road trip 6-0 in very impressive fashion. They beat the defending champ Celtics on Thursday, and then on Sunday they beat the Cleveland Cavs and ended the Cavs undefeated home record. The win came as Kobe Bryant battled the flu and a week after they lost Andrew Bynum, the assumed difference between a Championship this year and a finals loss to the eventual champion Boston Celtics last year.
But the hero of the game Sunday goes to Lamar Odom. Odom’s lined totaled a season high 28 points and a season high 17 rebounds. While being interviewed on national TV after the game, Lamar had teary, glassy eyes. He discussed how watching Kobe vomiting before the game helped to focus him. Lamar teary eyed, was cut off by the NBC reporter (great job NBC!) before Lamar could expand upon his emotional demeanor. Odom gifted with a 6’10″ frame and other-worldly basketball skills, is often blamed by media for being a let down because of his inability to dominate the game even though he displays such tremendous skills. Maybe Odom, recognizes that this is his chance to prove the NBA wrong. His display of emotions is a result of the effort he made to dominate the game. It’s not his style but he certainly possess all the gifts to do it. Odom has a unique opportunity to win the NBA community over. Do it Lamar. We’ve been waiting.

Well, I gotta say that Kobe has proven to be the best player in the NBA. Not that I love Kobe — and don’t even start the comparisons to MJ — but, come on. The Lakers are not really that deep and yet they’re what — 41-9?Step back, LeBron; You’re still #2.Not that #2 is a bad place to be pr anything . . .
